Handshake.AI is a small, distributed team building the Handshake Protocol, an audit and assurance layer for AI agent actions. The work sits at the intersection of applied cryptography, identity infrastructure, and developer tooling. We ship in the open, work asynchronously across timezones, and treat security as the product, not a feature.
Own one or two SDKs end-to-end (Python, TypeScript, Go, or Rust), harden the verifier and signed-receipt path, and take Registry reliability seriously. Senior backend engineer comfortable with cryptographic primitives (signatures, DIDs, JWT/COSE-style formats), API design, and treating security as a normal engineering constraint, not a research project.
Sit inside a design partner's environment for two weeks at a time, get Handshake deployed alongside their MCP / A2A / LangGraph / OpenAI Agents topology, surface what's broken about the integration, and feed it back to engineering. Ex-platform-engineer or ex-security-engineer who can read code, write integration patches, present to a CISO, and write the post-deployment runbook. Fluent in at least one Handshake SDK language.
